replacement tea pitcher great December 29, 2008 J. Benton I am really glad that you can just by the pitcher. In the past, I wasn't able to and had to buy the whole unit when the pitcher broke. This time, I was able to find just the pitcher online, so I purchased 2! I have always loved this tea maker and have used it for 15 years or so.
opps December 22, 2008 Duane Fenton (kansas) Super fast shipping by the seller. Needed a replacement and this was the best price around.
Replacement is perfect! December 21, 2008 Joshua Black The only complaint (and the reason for not giving 5 stars) is that the plastic they used in making the pitcher is beginning to stain despite only being used 10-15 times and being washed after each use. Other than that, it is a great replacement pitcher for those of us who might have broken the original....
Mr. Coffee Tea Pitcher November 10, 2008 J. Walker I ordered this pitcher to replace one which had cracked and was leaking. My experience with these pitchers has been the tea makers outlast the pitchers, as this is not the first pitcher I have replaced. Since I love my Mr. Coffee Tea Maker, replacing a pitcher is just one of the things I must deal with from time to time.
Different brew method easier on pitcher September 3, 2008 N. Walker (Hixson, Tennessee USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have 2 different models of the Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker, with different style pitchers, and have problems with both styles of pitchers cracking, even though I don't put them thru the dishwasher. When my second pitcher cracked, I wrote to Mr. Coffee and they sent me 2 new ones for free! After those 2 cracked as well, I figured they would not send me new ones for free again, so I found a new way to brew my tea to be easier on the pitcher. I don't put any ice in the pitcher at the beginning of the brew process. I like sweet tea, so I put my cup of sugar in the bottom of the pitcher, then the brewing process dumps hot tea in the pitcher, dissolving the sugar. When the brewing process is done, then I slowly add the ice to fill up to the top of the pitcher, then stir. No new cracks since I've been doing this (for over a year). Also, if you have to live with a cracked pitcher, I have found if you put clear packing tape on the outside of the pitcher where it cracked, it does not leak as much, if at all, while brewing, then you can pour the brewed tea into another container for storage in the fridge if you are concerned it will leak.
