great coffee-strong and dark August 17, 2008 Bethqueen (Columbia, SC USA) A good cup of coffee-you grind it yourself. If you enjoy the process, it is worth it.
Every bit as good as it sounds June 18, 2008 T. Irwin (Southern California) I am a coffee lover. And this stuff is good... especially if you like a dark roast.
can't go wrong March 28, 2008 R. Hubbard 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a real french roast. The Folgers crowd need not apply. I'm a connoisseur. It's definitely not the very best french roast I've ever had. Compared to the very finest, these beans definitely lack depth. They are extremely smooth but their immediate richness falls flat after you swallow. However, take my critique in proper perspective: for the price, these beans are excellent and a true steal. They are magnificent everyday beans for dark roast lovers. I've re-ordered them several times. At about $20/3 lbs. you are unlikely to get a better bang for the buck anywhere. These beans are worth an extra 3-5$ per pound. Buy enough for free shipping and call yourself the coffee magnate of your community.
World's Worst Coffee February 20, 2008 Cowtown Yankee (Texas) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Apparently, Rocamojo, is a Spanish word for sewage. This is the most vile tasting stuff I've ever encountered. And the smell forced me to open all the windows in my house, AND IT'S FEBRUARY! Best of all, I'm now the proud owner of 3 pounds of this junk. So, I guess I'll keep it in the garage until spring, perhaps I can use it as a pesticide. The bottom line: BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE. Some people can boil up a pot of manure and give it 5 stars.
Absolute 5 star coffee.. February 8, 2008 Krinda1 (W. Bridgewater, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the Rocamojo Wild French Roast after reading so many terrific reviews, being very picky about my coffee I alway's rely on the other finicky coffee connoisseur out there and what they have to say. And I must say it has my five star rating: it's organic, fair trade, dark roast, wonderful full flavor, at a really great price.
