Too much grease/butter! November 23, 2008 Georgia Miller (Garland, TX) There is butter/grease oosing from the package when you open it. I will not buy it again.
AWFUL popcorn!! January 11, 2008 A. Bennett I've bought Act II Microwave Popcorn for years and had always found them to be quite flavorful and fresh but definitely not the ones I bought from Amazon recently. They are just HORRENDOUSLY AWFUL TASTING!! And OLD tasting! They have NO butter flavoring even though it's labeled Movie Theater Butter but instead....an entire bottle of salt was added to each package. And the popcorn is NOT melt in your mouth quality but rather like tough card board. Their quality control is really terrible. I can not recommend Act II anymore...they are close to what I call DISCUSTING. I threw out most of the last case I purchased. Don't buy this product if you like good tasting popcorm.
Con Agra Customer Service January 2, 2008 M. Pymm 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I ordered two cases of Act II popcorn because my family and I have always enjoyed it. This is why I was so confident in ordering such a large number of bags. Unfortunately, out of the 72 bags, most were unusable because the flavoring leaked out of the bag and even out of the plastic wrapper in a few bags. Six packages seemed to be ok, however when put into the microwave, one of these bags caught on fire after 58 seconds of cooking (it takes 2 minutes and 5 seconds to cook a regular size bag). I was extremely dissappointed as I have never experienced such poor quality from an Act II product purchased in a grocery or drug store. I wrote to Con Agra Foods Company regarding the problem and the fact that I ordered two cases of their product that ended up being completely unuseable. I received a response two weeks later asking me to send proof. Fortunately I stillhad an oil soaked box that I had not thrown away yet. About three weeks later I received a response that they were looking into my 'claim.' I replied to thank them and to let them know that I had been buying their product for years and never had any problems. About one month later I received another email from Con Agra that they were still looking in to it. After six weeks from then, I emailed to follow up because I had not heard anything from them--that was two months ago.
popcorn ok May 21, 2007 Cheryl S. Myers (Dearborn, MI USA) The popcorn is ok, but I've had trouble getting it to pop anywhere near completely in my old microwave.
